When Mayhew announced that it would be re-launching its name and brand in the second quarter of 2016, it created a buzz in the world of interior designers, and excitement throughout Toronto and the rest of Ontario. Steve Cascone, Mayhew’s VP Consulting Services & Design Principal shared what made the interior designers’ relaunch so innovative and compelling.
Question: What is particularly exciting about Mayhew’s relaunch?
The Consulting Services Team, which focuses on our areas of strength – developing workspace solutions for corporate commercial interiors – wanted to heighten awareness for developing creative and innovative solutions for retail brand image programs. Mayhew’s strengths are in Workplace Strategy, Interior Design and Project Management, therefore we wanted to restructure the Mayhew brand to emphasize our most compelling attributes.
Question: What kinds of projects is Mayhew currently working on for clients?
We are continuing to work with Mazda Canada in providing Design Control Documents for existing and new dealerships across Canada, a brand image roll-out for Kia Canada, and Kubota Canada. Other projects include full interior design services for various corporate office interior fit-out projects at MaRS Discovery District, a full interior design services for various corporate office interior fit-out projects at GlaxoSmithKline, full interior design and project management services for three Hanson International Academy schools, full interior design and project management services for Mobis Parts Canada, and a space accommodation study for the City of London.
Question: What kinds of projects would you like to tackle throughout the rest of 2016 and into 2017?
Mayhew will continue to focus on developing Retail Brand Image Projects, as well as providing Full Interior Design and Project Management services for corporate office interior fit-out and renovation projects in spaces in the GTA and Southwestern Ontario.
