Axonify

As a leader in learning technology, Waterloo-based Axonify was rapidly growing. When the single level building across the way became available for lease, they were quick to take action.

Set within a canvas of full height windows and white walls, Mayhew applied the various colours of Axonify’s brand through bright coloured walls, acoustic floating clouds, vibrant floor accents and team based furniture settings. Exposed columns and ceilings alongside a polished concrete floor maintained the building’s architecture while carpet and fabrics add textural depth. Full glass front offices and meeting rooms on the interior allow the light to permeate through the space where open work station fronts clad in wood grain fill the core. Filmed glass, way finding and wall graphics strategically repeat Axonify’s identity throughout the space.

Two distinct sections of the existing building were connected by a central town hall where the entire organization met regularly. Fixed stadium seating and a twenty-three foot kitchen island ground the space. Various areas of collaboration are scattered throughout including harvest tables, bar height ledges and soft lounge seating – something suitable for everyone. A games area backs onto the hall where staff can play beneath a wall of colourful avatars.

Axonify prides itself on having passionate employees. Their objective was to provide a fresh, exciting and “cool” space where staff thrive – all within a very limited budget. The Mayhew team delivered them a space that did just that.
